Vybrané romské tradice a jejich aktuálnost v životě specifické skupiny romských dětí

Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with selected Romani traditions and their relevance in the lives of a specific group of Romani children. The theoretical part describes a brief history of the residence of the Roma in our territory. It is followed by the definition of the Roma groups that are currently found in the Czech Republic. The following chapters present selected Romani traditions related to the Romani language, the traditional Romani family, weddings and baptisms. Subsequently, traditions associated with death, traditional Romani culture and Romani food are described. The empirical part is based on qualitative research, which was conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews. The respondents were Romani children who attend the Teen Challenge Prague Children and Youth Center, located in Prague's Žižkov district. The aim of the research was to map the current state of Romani traditions, which were described in the theoretical part. A secondary goal was to find out what these specific children think about the given traditions and whether they perceive them as something important for their lives. Bakalářská práce se zabývá vybranými romskými tradicemi a jejich aktuálností v životě specifické skupiny romských dětí. V teoretické části je popsána stručná historie, týkající se pobytu Romů na našem území. Na ni navazuje vymezení romských skupin, které se v současné době v České republice vyskytují. V následujících kapitolách jsou představeny vybrané romské tradice, týkající se romštiny, tradiční romské rodiny, svatby a křtu. Následně jsou popsány tradice spojené s úmrtím, tradiční romskou kulturou a romským jídlem. Empirická část vychází z kvalitativního výzkumu, který byl proveden ve formě polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Respondenty byly romské děti, které navštěvují Centrum dětí a mládeže Teen Challenge Praha, sídlící v Praze na Žižkově. Cílem výzkumu bylo zmapovat aktuální stav romských tradic, které byly popsány v teoretické části. Dílčím cílem bylo také zjistit, co si o daných tradicích tyto konkrétní děti myslí a zda je vnímají jako něco pro jejich život důležitého. Výsledky ukázaly, že se zvyky těchto romských rodin v mnohém přizpůsobily majoritní společnosti. Z tradic, které se skutečně dodržují, se mnohdy vytrácí původní význam, a dodržují se jen díky naučenému chování.
