Nela Hlisnikovská, The Quality of Parent-Child Relationship and Its Association with the Development of Children's Curiosity Abstract This thesis focuses on the quality of the relationship between parents and children and its association with the development of children's curiosity. The aim of the thesis is to find out how parental support is related to the level of children's curiosity. We are also interested in how different aspects of this relationship relate to different types of curiosity (especially joyful exploration and deprivation sensitivity) and how these types of curiosity differ across school types. Data were collected using a self-report questionnaire that measured children's curiosity and their relationship with parents, assessed through three aspects: a positive relationship without anger and negative emotions, sharing with parents, and support for the child's interests. Demographic information was also collected, such as age, gender, and type of school. The total number of respondents was 1871, 51% were boys and 45% girls, with an average age of 12.12 years. The results show that sharing with parents and support for children's interests are related to joyful curiosity. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak souvisí podpora od rodičů dětmi s úrovní jejich zvídavosti. Zajímá nás také, jak různé aspekty tohoto vztahu souvisejí s různými typy zvídavosti (zejména s radostnou a deprivační) a jak se tyto zvídavosti liší mezi různými typy škol. Data jsou sbírána pomocí sebeposuzujícího dotazníku, který zaznamenává zvídavost dětí i jejich vztah s rodiči, který je posuzován třemi aspekty: pozitivní vztah bez hněvu a negativních emocí, sdílení s rodiči a podpora zájmů dítěte. Součástí jsou také demografické údaje jako je věk, pohlaví a typ školy. Celkový počet respondentů je 1871, z toho 51% chlapců a 45% děvčat, průměrný věk 12,12let. Výsledky ukazují, že sdílení s rodiči i podpora zájmů dětí souvisí s radostnou zvídavostí. Sdílení s rodiči je spojeno také s deprivační zvídavostí, přestože zde je již efekt slabší. Dále se ukázalo, že radostná zvídavost má tendenci s věkem klesat, zatímco deprivační zvídavost zůstává neměnná. Tato práce by měla přispět k lepšímu pochopení zvídavosti a poznání, které konkrétní aspekty vztahu rodič-dítě mají s její úrovni vztah. Zjištěné...
