Arnošt Lustig a jeho novinářská činnost

Abstract

This thesis presents the journalistic work of Arnošt Lustig and briefly outlines his life, literary output, and the reception of his work. For context, it also provides a concise overview of Czechoslovakia's history from the end of World War II to the 1990s, focusing on the media and literary landscape. It then analyses Lustig's journalistic activity between 1947 and 1990. This section examines the topics he addressed in his newspaper articles and their proportional representation. The analysis also traces changes in his thematic agenda across two distinct periods: from 1947 to August 1968 and from August 1968 to 1990. The thematic distribution is illustrated in graphs-both for the entire period and for each phase separately. The thesis also includes an analysis of selected features by Lustig, both foreign and domestic, as well as interviews he either conducted or participated in as a respondent.

Tato diplomová práce představuje novinářskou činnost Arnošta Lustiga, stručně popisuje jeho život, dílo a ohlas díla. Pro kontext nastiňuje také stručně historii Československa zhruba od konce druhé světové války po devadesátá léta z mediálního a literárního pohledu. Následně analyzuje Lustigovu novinářskou práci mezi lety 1947 až 1990. V této části je zkoumáno, jakým tématům se Lustig ve svých novinových článcích věnoval a v jakém poměru. Analýza navíc sleduje proměny tematické agendy ve dvou obdobích - od roku 1947 do srpna 1968 a od srpna 1968 do roku 1990. Tematická agenda je vyjádřena v grafu, a to jak pro celek, tak pro obě období zvlášť. Součástí práce je také analýza vybraných Lustigových reportáží ze zahraničí i z domova a rozhovorů, které buď sám vedl nebo byl jejich respondentem.
