České nezávislé podcasty na platformě Spotify

Abstract

This thesis focuses on the characteristic features of Czech independent podcasts published on the Spotify platform. Its aim is to provide deeper insight into Czech independent podcasts, particularly their topics and formats. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the term podcast, its technological and historical development, as well as the specifics of the Czech podcast environment. It also describes the role of podcast platforms, with an emphasis on Spotify, the possibilities of podcast content monetization, and the most common topics and formats, which are subsequently examined in the practical part. The practical part presents a quantitative content analysis of Czech independent podcasts on Spotify. The results of the analysis suggest that the most frequently represented topics include personal development, relationships, entertainment, and lifestyle. Conversational and interview formats appear most often, and the most common monetization tool is the platform HeroHero. Overall, it can be stated that Czech independent podcasts are mostly personal and informal in nature. The authentic expression of the creators enables regular content production without the need for complex technical preparation and it also contributes to building a close relationship with the audience.

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na charakteristické rysy českých nezávislých podcastů publikovaných na platformě Spotify. Jejím cílem je poskytnout hlubší vhled do českých nezávislých podcastů, především jejich témat a forem. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením pojmu podcast, jeho technologickým a historickým vývojem a také specifiky českého podcastového prostředí. Dále popisuje roli podcastových platforem, s důrazem na Spotify, možnosti monetizace podcastového obsahu a nejčastější témata a formáty, které jsou následně zkoumány v praktické části. V ní je provedena kvantitativní obsahová analýza českých nezávislých podcastů na Spotify. Výsledky analýzy naznačují, že mezi nejčastěji zastoupená témata patří osobní rozvoj, vztahy, zábava a životní styl. Nejhojněji se vyskytují konverzační a rozhovorové formáty a nejběžnějším nástrojem monetizace je platforma HeroHero. Celkově lze konstatovat, že české nezávislé podcasty jsou většinou osobně laděné a neformální. Autentický projev autorů umožňuje pravidelnou tvorbu obsahu bez nutnosti složité technické přípravy a zároveň přispívá k budování blízkého vztahu s publikem.
