Proměny Young Adult literatury v českém prostředí z antropologické perspektivy

Abstract

This thesis focuses on a systematic analysis of the phenomenon of Young Adult literature (YAL) in the Czech environment and in the context of global developments in this area. The thesis aims to map the perspectives of individual actors in the community associated with this type of literature in order to gain a deeper understanding of the meanings that YAL has had for them in the past and present. The subject of the study is the emergence and development of the Young Adult category itself, the reasons for its attractiveness in the past and today from the perspective of the book market and the reading community. Special attention will be paid to fans of this genre complex and their role in the context of YAL creation and production. Emphasis will be placed on mapping communities, individual actor perspectives, motivations, and interactions. This includes physical contacts and interviews at YAL gatherings and festivals, as well as research into their digital communication, for example through various platforms and social networks. Tato diplomová práce se věnuje systematické analýze fenoménu Young Adult literatury (YAL) v českém prostředí a v kontextu celosvětového vývoje této oblasti. Práce si klade za cíl zmapovat perspektivy jednotlivých aktérů komunity spojené s tímto typem literatury pro hlubší porozumění významům, které pro ně YAL měla v minulosti i současnosti. Předmětem zkoumání je nástup a vývoj samotné kategorie Young Adult a důvody její atraktivity v minulosti a dnes z pohledu knižního trhu i čtenářské komunity. Zvláštní pozornost bude věnována fanouškům tohoto žánrového komplexu a jejich roli v kontextu tvorby a produkce YAL. Důraz bude kladen na zmapování komunit, jednotlivých aktérských perspektiv, motivací a interakcí. To zahrnuje fyzické kontakty a rozhovory na srazech a festivalech YAL stejně jako výzkum jejich digitální komunikace, například prostřednictvím nejrůznějších platforem a sociálních sítí. Analýza motivace, způsobu aktérského čtení a komunikace YAL by měla nalézt obecné trendy, které naznačí odpovědi na výzkumnou otázku, jakým způsobem a proč se u nás v posledním desetiletí prosadila kategorie YAL jako určující nejen pro knižní trh, ale také fanouškovské komunity.
