Kriminalita a vnímanie bezpečnosti očami stredoškolákov na sídlisku Jižní Město

Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on examining the feeling of safety among high school students in the Jižní Město housing estate.The aim of the thesis is to find out how safe high school students feel, which places they consider unsafe, and what reasons lead to this perception. The results of subjective perceptions are then compared with the location of crime according to official statistics from the Police of the Czech Republic. The main method of data collection was a questionnaire survey among students, complemented by interviews with representatives of the local Police of the Czech Republic and Municipal Police departments, as well as an analysis of data on registered crime. The findings confirmed differences in the perception of safety and fear of crime between the genders. At the same time, similarities were found between places perceived as unsafe and the reasons for this perception with the available literature. A comparison of subjective perceptions with the actual occurrences of crime showed only minimal match between the places where students feel fear and the locations of recorded crime.

Bakalárska práca sa zameriava na skúmanie pocitu bezpečia stredoškolských študentov a študentiek na sídlisku Jižní Město. Cieľom práce je zistiť, ako bezpečne sa stredoškoláci cítia, ktoré miesta považujú za rizikové a aké dôvody vedú k tomuto vnímaniu. Výsledky subjektívneho vnímania sú následne porovnané s lokalizáciou kriminality podľa oficiálnych štatistík Polície ČR. Hlavnou metódou získavania dát bol dotazníkový prieskum medzi študentmi a študentkami doplnený rozhovormi so zástupcami miestneho oddelenia Polície ČR a Mestskej polície, ako aj analýzou dát za registrovanú kriminalitu. Zistenia potvrdili rozdiely v pocite bezpečia a strachu z kriminality medzi pohlaviami. Zároveň sa zistila podobnosť medzi rizikovo vnímanými miestami i dôvodmi tohto vnímania s dostupnou literatúrou. Porovnanie subjektívneho vnímania s reálnym výskytom kriminality ukázalo len minimálnu zhodu medzi miestami, kde študenti pociťujú strach, a lokalizáciou evidovanej kriminality.
