Marc Orlando a jeho přínos pro výzkum tlumočení

Abstract

This theoretical master's thesis summarizes the contribution of Marc Orlando, a contemporary French-Australian conference interpreter, translator, researcher, and professor, to interpreting research. It explores the main areas of his published research on interpreting, namely interpreter and translator education, new technologies in interpreting with a focus on digital pens / smartpens, and interpreting in Australia. It also includes Marc Orlando's short biography. The thesis is similar to other master's theses dedicated to prominent researchers in global translation studies completed at the Institute of Translation Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University. Tato teoretická diplomová práce shrnuje přínos současného francouzsko-australského konferenčního tlumočníka, překladatele, badatele a profesora Marka Orlanda pro výzkum tlumočení. Zabývá se hlavními oblastmi autorova dosud publikovaného výzkumu v oblasti tlumočení, tedy vzděláváním tlumočníků a překladatelů, novými technologiemi v tlumočení se zaměřením na digitální/chytré pero a tlumočením v Austrálii. Součástí je rovněž krátká biografie Marka Orlanda. Práce navazuje na další diplomové práce věnované významným osobnostem světové translatologie vypracované na Ústavu translatologie FF UK.
