Kim Tongniho literární teorie a praxe

Abstract

The subject of this thesis are the longer prose works of Kim Tongni, an important representative of a significant section of 20th-century modern Korean literature, who is particularly famous for his atypical emphasis on traditional values, or rather the search for them. In the post-war period, he was an unquestioned authority in the literary scene within South Korea. He has profoundly influenced literary production, its values, style, and themes for at least two decades. After the war, he attempted to assert his ideas and conceptions of literature in a new context, especially in the relationship between national and universal literature. In this thesis, I will a) define the scope of the thesis, the methodology, and the theoretical basis, pose the research questions and define the key concepts; b) summarize the clues influencing Kim Tongni's worldview (historical, literary, and ideological background) in the context of his work to the extent necessary for understanding the work; (c) in the key analytical part, I will look at Kim Tongni's prose from the selected corpus and analyze the narrative, motifs, and character archetypes, and attempt to find their possible common points, based on which I will then d) answer the question of whether Kim Tongni's work is in line with his thought concepts, what message it...

Tématem této diplomové práce jsou delší prózy Kim Tongniho, významného představitele podstatného úseku moderní korejské literatury 20. století, který je proslulý zejména svým na svou dobu netypickým důrazem na tradiční hodnoty, respektive jejich hledáním. V poválečné době pak působil jako nezpochybnitelná autorita literární scény na Jihu Koreje a výrazně ovlivňuje na minimálně dvě desetiletí literární produkci, její hodnoty, styl a témata. Své ideje a představy o literatuře se po válce pokusil prosadit v novém kontextu, a to zejména ve vztahu národní a světové literatury. V práci postupuji podle zadání: a) vymezuji rozsah, metodologii, teoretický základ, pokládám výzkumné otázky a definuji klíčové pojmy; b) v nezbytném rozsahu shrnuji záchytné body, ovlivňující Kim Tongniho světonázor, (dějinná, literární a myšlenková východiska) v kontextu jeho působení a tvorby; c) v klíčové analytické části se věnuji Kim Tongniho dílům z vybraného korpusu, naraci, motivům, archetypům postav, a pokouším se najít jejich případné společné prvky, na jejichž základě pak d) odpovídám na otázku, zda je Kim Tongniho tvorba v souladu s jeho myšlenkovými koncepty, jaké poselství přináší a zda se jedná o autora s tradičními postoji, nebo spíše s tradičními motivy.
