Feministické exegetické texty k Hebrejské bibli a dalším autoritativním textům judaismu

Abstract

This thesis explores feminist commentaries on the first three chapters of the Book of Genesis and examines how feminist authors respond to passages commonly perceived as sexist or problematic in terms of gender equality. It focuses on key motifs such as the creation of man and woman, the consumption of the forbidden fruit, and the interpretation of divine punishment, tracing the way the figure of Eve has been reimagined and redefined. The analysis draws on theological concepts developed by Rachel Adler and Judith Plaskow and it is grounded primarily in The Torah: A Women's Commentary. Rather than rejecting the Torah as a patriarchal document, these commentaries aim to reinterpret it in ways that incorporate the female voice as an integral part of Jewish tradition. In this way, feminist commentaries serve both as a form of critique and as a means of renewing and enriching religious discourse.

Tato diplomová práce se věnuje feministickým komentářům k prvním třem kapitolám knihy Genesis a zkoumá, jak feministické autorky reagují na pasáže, které byly vnímány jako sexistické či problematické z hlediska rovnosti pohlaví. Zaměřuje se na motivy stvoření muže a ženy, konzumace ovoce ze zakázaného stromu a výkladu Božích trestů, a sleduje posun v interpretaci ženské postavy Evy a snahu o redefinici její role. Práce vychází z teologických konceptů Rachel Adler a Judith Plaskow a čerpá především ze sborníku The Torah: A Women's Commentary. Práce ukazuje, že cílem komentářů není odmítnutí Tóry jako patriarchálního dokumentu, ale její reinterpretace s důrazem na začlenění ženského hlasu jako plnohodnotné součásti židovské tradice. Feministické komentáře tak představují nástroj kritiky a zároveň nástroj aktualizace náboženského diskurzu.
