Abstract

Intergenerational care for children in Czech Republic and France Abstract This paper examines the issue of intergenerational assistance in childcare, the relationships and implications associated with this issue, in the context of a comparison between the Czech Republic and France based on data from the Generations and Gender Programme (GGP) sample survey. Given the absence of the necessary institutional care capacities in the Czech Republic and the need for childcare assistance, especially for older generations of family members, this topic is relevant and worthy of investigation. In the theoretical part of the thesis, we compare the Czech Republic with France in this context, mainly because of the different possibilities of using institutional care in these countries, the different robustness of these systems and their focus. In the practical part, we use a binary logistic regression model to analyse the impact of socio-economic factors on the use of intergenerational childcare assistance in both countries.

Mezigenerační péče o děti v České republice a ve Francii Abstrakt Tato práce se zabývá problematikou mezigenerační výpomoci v péči o děti, vztahů a implikací spojených s touto problematikou, a to v rámci srovnání České republiky a Francie na základě dat získaných z výběrového šetření GGP (Generations and Gender Programme). Vzhledem k absenci potřebných kapacit institucionální péče v České republice a nutnosti výpomoci v péči o děti zejména starších generací rodinných příslušníků je toto téma relevantní a hodno zkoumání. V teoretické části práce v tomto kontextu porovnáváme Českou republiku s Francií, a to hlavně kvůli rozdílnosti možností využití institucionální péče v těchto zemích, rozdílné robustnosti těchto systémů a jejich zaměření. V praktické části pak využíváme model binární logistické regrese k analýze vlivu socioekonomických faktorů na využívání mezigenerační výpomoci v péči o děti v obou zemích.
