In my bachelor thesis, I am exploring contemporary environment of the Czech rap scene, which is based on interdisciplinary methodological-theoretical analysis of scientific works in this area from the past decades in the Czech and international context. I am discribing, how rap and the whole culture around it, has become globally popular phenomena, which was adapted in every single country of our Planet and what caused that the Czech rap has its distinctive form. My research and observation focus on categories such as authenticity, appropriation, aBective management, subculture, genre, physicality & technologies, mediums & cultural techniques or gender, on which I expose local specificities of the Czech rap scene. Based on the theory of globalisation I refer to the fact, that these similar principles could be found in diBerent national rap scenes and that we are able to compare them each other. Finally, this thesis points out the imperative, that the rap culture and all the practices which surround it, are ihnerently transnational and transcultural
