Reflexe hispanoamerické společnosti v esejích Gabriely Mistral a Victorie Ocampo

Abstract

Cílem této diplomové práce je představit na základě esejistické tvorby Gabriely Mistral (1889- 1957) a Victorie Ocampo (1890-1979) reflexi hispanoamerické společnosti v první polovině dvacátého století. Úvodní část je věnována esejistickému žánru, specifikům hispanoamerického eseje a situaci žen-spisovatelek v Hispánské Americe. Rozbor jednotlivých esejů se pak zaměřuje na čtyři tematické okruhy: kulturní identitu a vztah k Hispánské Americe, kulturní rozvoj společnosti, společenské postavení žen a otázku svobody. Analýzu doplňují i úryvky z korespondence mezi autorkami z let 1935-1956. Závěrečná část stručně nastiňuje politický, společenský i kulturní vývoj Argentiny a Chile po smrti obou autorek. The aim of this diploma thesis is to present a reflection on Hispanic American society in the first half of the twentieth century based on the essays of Gabriela Mistral (1889-1957) and Victoria Ocampo (1890-1979). An introductory section is devoted to the essayistic genre, the specifics of the Hispanic American essay, and the situation of women writers in Hispanic America. The analysis of selected essays then focuses on four thematic areas: cultural identity and the relationship to Hispanic America, the cultural development of the society, the social status of women, and the question of freedom. The analysis is supplemented by excerpts from correspondence between the authors from 1935-1956. The final chapter briefly outlines the political, social and cultural development of Argentina and Chile after the death of both authors.
