Srovnání originálu románu Andreje Bělého Kotik Letajev s jeho českým překladem

Abstract

Tématem této bakalářské práce je komparace ruského originálu románu Kotik Letajev od Andreje Bělého s jeho českým překladem od Jaroslava Šandy. Práce se skládá ze čtyř hlavních částí. První kapitola je zaměřena na biografický a literárněhistorický kontext autorova díla a stručné představení struktury prózy Kotik Letajev. Druhá část se věnuje významu rodinných vztahů při utváření identity hlavní postavy a následné psychologické analýze jejího charakteru, přičemž důraz je kladen na vznik a vývoj ústřední emoce. Třetí část přináší detailní analýzu českého překladu se zaměřením na lexikální, syntaktické a stylistické transformace, které ovlivňují ztvárnění emocionálních prožitků hlavní postavy. Na základě této analýzy jsou navržena alternativní překladatelská řešení vybraných pasáží. Závěrečná kapitola hodnotí překladatelskou metodu Jaroslava Šandy a způsoby, jakými jsou prostředky originálu převedeny do cílového jazyka. Cílem práce je zhodnotit, nakolik český překlad dokáže vystihnout emoční prožitky hlavního hrdiny, které v originálním textu hrají klíčovou roli.

This bachelor thesis's theme is a comparison between the Russian original of the novel Kotik Letaev by Andrei Bely and its Czech translation by Jaroslav Šanda. The thesis is divided into four main parts.The first chapter focuses on the biographical and literary- historical context of the author's work and provides a brief overview of the structure of Kotik Letaev. The second part explores the role of family relationships in shaping the protagonist's identity and presents a psychological analysis of the main character, with particular emphasis on the emergence and development of a central emotion. The third part offers a detailed analysis of the Czech translation, concentrating on lexical, syntactic, and stylistic transformations that influence the depiction of the character's emotional experiences. Based on this analysis, alternative translation solutions are proposed. The final chapter evaluates Jaroslav Šanda's translation method and examines the linguistic means through which the original is rendered into the target language. The aim of the thesis is to assess how successfully the Czech translation conveys the emotional experiences of the protagonist, which play a crucial role in the original text.
