Genderová analýza filmu Princezna zakletá v čase

Abstract

V této diplomové práci se zabývám genderovou analýzou českého filmu Princezna zakletá v čase. Práci dělím na teoretickou a analytickou část. V teoretické části nejprve představuji svou pozicionalitu a vysvětluji klíčové pojmy. Potom se věnuji představení teorie a metod, ze kterých vycházím při analýze onoho díla. Jako hlavní metodu používám archetypální analýzu a vycházím tedy z teorií archetypální analýzy. Jako další metodu používám vzdorné čtení, které jakožto vzdorné sledování aplikuji na analýzu filmovou, opět zde tedy vycházím z teorií vzdorného čtení/sledování. V analytické části pak z genderového hlediska skrz archetypální analýzu rozebírám daný film. Cílem je zjištění, v čem je daný příběh subversivní a v čem naopak příběh posiluje genderové stereotypy. Zaměřuji se na konstrukci genderu (a sexuality), konstrukci moci (z genderového pohledu) a konstrukci dobra a zla (též z genderového pohledu). In this diploma thesis I deal with a gender analysis of the Czech film Princess cursed in time. I divide the thesis into a theoretical and an analytical part. In the theoretical part, I first introduce my positionality and explain the key concepts. I then proceed to introduce the theory and methods I use to analyze said work. I use archetypal analysis as my main method and thus draw on theories of archetypal analysis. As another method, I use resistant reading, which, as resistant watching, I apply to film analysis, again drawing on theories of resistant reading/watching. In the analytical part, I analyze said film from a gender perspective through archetypal analysis. The aim is to find out in what ways the story is subversive and in what ways the story reinforces gender stereotypes. I focus on the construction of gender (and sexuality), the construction of power (from a gender perspective) and the construction of good and evil (also from a gender perspective).
