Témata a motivy v povídkách ze sbírky Bestiář (Bestiario) od Julia Cortázara

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the analysis of the main themes and motifs in the short story collection "Bestiario" by Argentine author Julio Cortázar. The thesis will first provide a general introduction to the author and his life. Next, we will analyze the literary genre of the short story and its type, the fantastic short story, which was the author's domain. Last but not least, we will explore the author's short story works and his collection "Bestiario," which was his debut in the short story genre. In the main part of this thesis, we will focus on the themes and motifs that repeat in the stories, such as nature, love, types of space and time, the political and historical context, and motif of beast.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá rozborem hlavních témat a motivů ve sbírce povídek Bestiario od argentinského autora Julia Cortázara. V práci se nejdříve seznámíme s autorem a jeho životem. Dále rozebereme literární žánr povídky a jeho typ fantastickou povídku, který byl autorovou doménou. V neposlední řadě si přiblížíme autorovu povídkovou tvorbu a také jeho sbírku Bestiario, která byla jeho povídkovou prvotinou. V hlavní části této práce se zaměříme na témata a motivy opakující se v povídkách z dané sbírky, jako jsou příroda, láska, typy časoprostoru, politický a historický kontext, či výskyt bestiálních prvků.
