Komentovaný překlad vybraných kapitol z knihy Tennis: Alles, was man wissen muss (D. Reisner, 2021)

Abstract

This bachelor thesis is an annotated translation of selected chapters from the book Tennis: Alles, was man wissen muss published by Meyer & Meyer Verlag in 2021. The text deals with tennis and tries to provide the reader with all relevant information in order to get a comprehensive overview of the sport. The aim of the thesis is to produce a functionally equivalent translation in accordance with the hypothetical translation brief. Apart from the translation itself, the thesis also includes a translation commentary, which comprises the following parts: a translation analysis according to Ch. Nord, identification of the hypothetical brief, a description of the translation method and a presentation of specific translation problems and their solutions. The thesis concludes with a chapter dealing with typology and examples of translation shifts. Tato bakalářská práce představuje komentovaný překlad vybraných kapitol z knihy Tennis: Alles, was man wissen muss vydané nakladatelstvím Meyer & Meyer Verlag v roce 2021. Text pojednává o tenisu a snaží se čtenářovi poskytnout veškeré důležité informace, aby tak mohl získat ucelený přehled o tomto sportu. Cílem práce je vytvořit funkčně ekvivalentní překlad v souladu s hypotetickou překladatelskou zakázkou. Součástí práce je vyjma samotného překladu také překladatelský komentář, který zahrnuje tyto části: překladatelskou analýzu dle Ch. Nordové, určení hypotetické zakázky, popis překladatelské metody a představení konkrétních překladatelských problémů a jejich řešení. Práci obsahově uzavírá kapitola řešící typologii a příklady posunů v překladu.
