Tradice staročeských májů ve vybraných obcích na Nymbursku

Abstract

The Tradition of Old Czech May Celebrations in Selected Villages in the Nymburk Region This bachelor's thesis focuses on the phenomenon of the traditional Czech May celebrations (staročeské máje) in selected municipalities within the Nymburk District, where this tradition has been successfully preserved and continues to this day. The aim of the thesis is to describe the current form of these May traditions, while also taking into account certain differences in how the celebrations are carried out in the individual municipalities. The practical part of the thesis identifies and examines factors that may influence the tradition of staročeské máje in each locality. The methodology is based primarily on semi-structured interviews with organizers, participants, and mayors of the municipalities where the celebrations are held annually, as well as on the analysis of relevant historical and contemporary documents. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analysis and a comparative approach between the municipalities. This thesis contributes to a better understanding and preservation of regional traditions and may offer recommendations for their further development or support. Tradice staročeských májů ve vybraných obcích na Nymbursku Bakalářská práce se zabývá fenoménem staročeských májů, a to ve vybraných obcích v okrese Nymburk, kde se tato tradice podařila udržet, a tudíž zde stále přetrvává. Bakalářská práce má za cíl popsat aktuální podobu májových tradic, s přihlédnutím k některým rozdílům v průběhu konání mezi jednotlivými obcemi. V praktické části jsou vymezeny a zkoumány faktory, které mohou ovlivňovat tradici staročeských májů v jednotlivých obcích. Metodologie zahrnuje především polostrukturované rozhovory s organizátory, účastníky a starosty obcí, ve kterých jsou staročeské máje každoročně pořádány a analýzu relevantních historických i současných dokumentů. Data byla zpracována tematickou analýzou a komparativním přístupem mezi jednotlivými obcemi. Tato bakalářská práce přispívá k porozumění a udržování regionálních tradic a může nabídnout doporučení pro jejich další rozvoj či podporu.
