Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce je přeložit vybraný text z angličtiny do češtiny a komentář procesu překladu. Výchozí text je část úvodu a první dvě kapitoly eseje The Appendix: Transmasculine Joy in a Transphobic Culture od Liama Konemanna. Tématem textu je transgender identita a společenská diskuze, která se o transgender lidech vede. Komentář sestává z překladatelské analýzy výchozího textu, překladatelské metody, analýzy vybraných překladatelských problémů a charakterizace použitých překladatelských postupů. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to translate the selected text from English into Czech and provide commentary on the translation process. The original text consists of a part of the introduction and the first two chapters of the essay The Appendix: Transmasculine Joy in a Transphobic Culture by Liam Konemann. The text's main topics are transgender identity and the societal discourse surrounding transgender people. The commentary consists of a translation- oriented analysis of the source text, the translation method, an analysis of selected translation problems and a characterisation of the used translation solutions.
