Abstract

The topic of this master thesis is the Republic of Moldova in the context of the post-Soviet regional security complex in the period from 1991 to the end of 2024. The theoretical part focuses on the development of the theory of regional security complex and sectoral analysis by the trio of authors Buzan, Wæver, Wilde and its application to the case of the Republic of Moldova. The analytical part is dedicated to the application of the mentioned theoretical framework - sectoral analysis by Buzan, Wæver and Wilde on the case of the Republic of Moldova in the given time period. The aim of the thesis is to map the political and historical context and to analyse the complex geopolitical position of the Republic of Moldova and its security dynamics in the neighbouring region. Tématem této diplomové práce je Moldavská republika v kontextu postsovětského regionálního bezpečnostního komplexu v období od roku 1991 do konce roku 2024. Teoretická část se soustředí na vývoj teorie regionálního bezpečnostního komplexu a sektorové analýzy od trojice autorů Buzan, Wæver, Wilde a její využití v rámci případu Moldavské republiky. Analytická část je věnována využití zmíněného teoretického rámce - sektorové analýzy autorů Buzana, Wævera a Wildeho na případ Moldavské republiky v daném časovém období. Cílem práce je zmapování politického a historického kontextu a analýza složité geopolitické pozice Moldavské republiky i jejích bezpečnostních dynamik v přilehlém regionu.
