Role a informování vybraných alternativních médií v české společnosti během pandemie onemocnění covid-19

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the role and informing of two selected alternative media: the Aeronet website and the Otevři svou mysl website during the COVID-19 pandemic. After introducing the basic theory, the thesis aims to determine whether these websites can be described as disinformation websites, and at the same time to analyse the way in which they reported on key events of the pandemic. For this purpose, two methods were used: the first of the analyses assesses the reliability of the information source and the probability of the correctness of the claim. The second part of the research is based on a content analysis focused on the occurrence of disinformation elements in the texts published on both websites. The results of the first analysis showed that the articles from the Aeronet website can be considered untrustworthy in 100 % of cases, and the Otevři svou mysl website in more than 80 %. The content analysis confirmed the occurrence of disinformation elements in all texts, with a strong emotional charge and unclear text output being the most common but questioning of government authorities and questioning of expert knowledge were also repeatedly present. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá rolí a informováním dvou vybraných alternativních médií: webu Aeronet a webu Otevři svou mysl v období pandemie onemocnění covid-19. Práce si po ukotvení základní teorie klade za cíl zjistit, zda tyto weby lze označit za dezinformační, a zároveň analyzovat způsob, jakým informovaly o klíčových událostech pandemie. Za tímto účelem byly použity dvě metody: první z analýz hodnotí spolehlivost zdroje informací a pravděpodobnost správnosti tvrzení. Druhá část výzkumu se opírá o obsahovou analýzu zaměřenou na výskyt dezinformačních prvků v textech publikovaných na obou webech. Výsledky první analýzy ukázaly, že příspěvky na webu Aeronet lze ve 100 % případů považovat za nedůvěryhodné, texty z webu Otevři svou mysl pak ve více než 80 %. Obsahová analýza potvrdila výskyt dezinformačních prvků ve všech textech, přičemž nejčastěji se vyskytoval silný emoční náboj, a nepřehlednost textového výstupu, opakovaně bylo však přítomné i zpochybňování vládních autorit a zpochybňování expertního vědění. Práce rovněž identifikovala rozdíly ve stylistice textů a zaměření obou webů - texty Aeronetu jsou častěji spíše politicky zaměřené, zatímco Otevři svou mysl operuje na poli ezoteriky a pseudovědy.
