Historická paměť a česko-izraleské vztahy

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the connection between history, specifically historical memory, and Czech-Israeli relations. Its aim is to deepen understanding of these relations and identify the influence of historical memory on Czech-Israeli relations. To achieve this goal, a qualitative method of semi-structured expert interviews with eight selected representatives of the elites of the Czech Republic and Israel was used, which were analyzed through comparative analysis. An exclusive sample of elites representing both countries was obtained for the thesis. The results of the research showed that the influence of historical memory on Czech-Israeli relations is more than evident. It also identified critical moments in historical memory and pointed to the deliberate forgetting of certain events in Czech-Israeli relations. The research also succeeded in demonstrating the connection between historical memory and the current generational shift. At the same time, some of the respondents suggest possible solutions to this shift. The thesis brings new insights and contributes to a better understanding of the relationship between the Czech Republic and the State of Israel, provides justification for the intensity of the relationship, and outlines a possible trajectory for further research. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na spojitost mezi historií, respektive historickou pamětí a česko-izraelskými vztahy. Jejím cílem je prohloubit porozumění těmto vztahům a identifikovat vliv historické paměti na česko-izraelské vztahy. K dosažení cíle byla použita kvalitativní metoda polostrukturovaných expertních rozhovorů s osmi vybranými zástupci elit České republiky a Izraele, které byly analyzovány prostřednictvím komparativní analýzy. Pro práci se podařilo získat exkluzivní vzorek elit zastupující obě země. Z výsledků výzkumu vyplynulo, že přítomnost vlivu historické paměti na česko-izraelské vztahy je více než patrná. Dále identifikoval kritické momenty historické paměti a poukázal na cílené zapomínání určitých událostí česko-izraelských vztahů. Rovněž se díky výzkumu podařilo prokázat souvislost historické paměti se současným generačním odklonem. A zároveň někteří z respondentů navrhují možná řešení tohoto odklonu. Práce přináší nové poznatky a přispívá k lepšímu porozumění vztahu mezi Českou republikou a státem Izrael, přináší odůvodnění intenzity vztahů a nastiňuje možnou trajektorii bližšího zkoumání. Zjištění práce tak prohlubuje poznání důvodů pro sílu česko-izraelských vztahů a přináší cenné poznatky nejen pro akademickou sféru, ale i pro praktické využití.
