Cílem práce je vysvětlit genezi a vývoj této pozice, identifikovat její hlavní úkoly, strategie a nástroje a zhodnotit její institucionální ukotvení. Výzkum vychází z teorie historického institucionalismu a konceptů postupné institucionální změny, politických sítí a kritických momentů.
This bachelor's thesis addresses the insufficient coordination between the healthcare and social care sectors, focusing on an institutional innovation represented by the role of a regional coordinator in the Vysočina Region. The aim of the thesis is to describe the genesis and development of this position, identify its key responsibilities, strategies, and instruments, and evaluate its institutional embeddedness. The research is grounded in the theory of historical institutionalism and draws on the concepts of gradual institutional change, policy networks, and critical junctures. Using a case study based on expert interviews and document analysis, the thesis identifies specific benefits of the coordinator's role, barriers to collaboration between the two sectors, and limitations of the project through which the position was established. The findings show that the role of the regional coordinator emerged in response to the accumulation of systemic problems in the field of long-term care and represents a key mechanism facilitating communication and coordination between the healthcare and social care sectors.
