Rodičovství a vrcholový sport (Fotoesej)

Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to present the combination of parenthood and top sport. The practical part of the thesis is a photobook called "The Beginning of the Game", in which I depict the story of Anna Serme, a Czech squash player, who gave birth to her son Timothée and decided to continue her career as a professional athlete. The book contains photographs from their family and sports environment. The theoretical part outlines the issues of parenthood and top sport, supplemented by Anna Serme's personal observations. It deals with the financial aspect and support of female athletes, the adaptation of sports venues, tournaments and competitions, the health aspect, information and the actual combination of childcare and professional career. In the second part I deal with the definition of the terms photo essay and sports photography. For both types of photojournalism I outline the history, technical requirements and basic definition. The theoretical part is complemented by methodology and an interview with squash player Anna Serme.

Cílem bakalářské práce je přiblížit kombinaci rodičovství a vrcholového sportu. Praktickou částí práce je fotokniha s názvem "Začátek hry", ve které zachycuji příběh české squashistky Anny Serme, které se narodil syn Timothée a rozhodla se s kariérou profesionální sportovkyně pokračovat. Kniha obsahuje fotografie z jejich rodinného i sportovního prostředí. Teoretická část nastiňuje problematiku rodičovství a vrcholového sportu, doplněnou o osobní poznatky Anny Serme. Zabývá se finanční stránkou a podporou sportovkyň, uzpůsobení sportovišť, turnajů a soutěží, zdravotní stránkou, informovaností a samotnou kombinací péče o dítě s profesionální kariérou. V druhé části se zabývám vymezením pojmů fotoesej a sportovní fotografie. U obou druhů fotožurnalistiky nastiňuji historii, technické požadavky a základní definici. Teoretická část je doplněna o metodologii a rozhovor se squashistkou Annou Serme.
