Anna Fabriková Supervisor: PhDr. Kristýna Hoidekrová, Ph.D. Title: The Effect of Prism Adaptation Treatment on Upper Limb Function in Patients with Acquired Brain Injury Abstract: The theoretical part of this thesis focuses on the issue of spatial neglect and its impact on the functional use of the upper limbs in patients after acquired brain injury (stroke). It also describes various fine motor skill tests and the Kessler Foundation Neglect Assessment Process (KF-NAP test), which are used to assess patients in the practical part, as well as information on prism adaptation. The aim of the thesis was to determine the effect of prism adaptation on upper limb use in patients with spatial neglect following a stroke. A total of 90 stroke patients with spatial neglect were included in the study, which involved a single experimental group. Spatial neglect was initially detected using the Bell Test as a screening tool. If the result was positive, patients were further assessed using the KF-NAP test, which confirmed the presence and severity of spatial neglect. Anna Fabriková Vedoucí práce: Ph.Dr. Kristýna Hoidekrová, Ph.D. Název diplomové práce: Efekt prizmatické adaptace na funkční využití horní končetiny u pacientů po získaném poškození mozku Abstrakt diplomové práce: Teoretická část práce se zabývá problematikou prostorového neglektu a jeho vlivu na funkční využití horních končetin u pacientů po získaném poškození mozku (cévní mozková příhoda). Dále popisuje jednotlivé testy na jemnou motoriku a Kessler Foundation Neglekt Assessment Process (KF-NAP test), kterými jsou pacienti v praktické části hodnoceni a informace o prizmatické adaptaci. Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit efekt prizmatické adaptace na využití horní končetiny u pacientů po CMP s prostorovým neglektem. Do výzkumu s jednou experimentální skupinou bylo zařazeno 90 pacientů po cévní mozkové příhodě s prostorovým neglektem, který byl screeningově detekován pomocí Bell testu. V případě pozitivity tohoto testu byli pacienti testováni KF-NAP testem, který přítomnost prostorového neglektu potvrdil a určil jeho tíži. Následně byli pacienti retestování KF-NAP po 10 (T1) a 20 (T2) terapiích s pomocí prizmatické adaptace.
