Základní vojenská služba v 80. letech v reflexi pamětníků

Abstract

This thesis examines the reflection of compulsory military service in the1980s, as interpreted through the memories of former conscripts. The aim is to document and reconstruct the everyday life of ordinary young men who were forced to serve in the army of the socialist regime through the method of oral history, supplemented by literary sources. The introduction discusses the historici kontext of thepolitical and social situation in Czechoslovakia, including the organization and structure of the military. Based on the analysis of interview with witnesses, key themes of everyday life in the military are then reflected upon, such as the specifics of themilitary environment, relationships between soldiers and superiors, bullying, as well as strategies used by soldiers to cope with the experience. The emphasis is placed on the individual experiences of the conscripts. Furthermore, the thesis seeks to anter the question of how military service influenced thein lives, what it gave to them, and, from their perspective, what it took away.

Tato práce se zabývá reflexí základní vojenské služby v 80. letech 20. století, jak ji ve svých vzpomínkách interpretují tehdejší branci. Jejím cílem je prostřednictvím metody orální historie, doplněné o literární zdroje zaznamenat a zrekonstruovat každodenní život obyčejných mladých mužů, kteří byli nuceni sloužit v armádě socialistického typu. V úvodu je rozebrán dobový kontext politické a společenské situace v Československu, včetně organizace a struktury armády. Na základě analýzy rozhovorů s pamětníky jsou následně reflektována klíčová témata každodenního života na vojně, jako specifika vojenského prostředí, vztahy mezi vojáky a nadřízenými, šikana, ale také strategie, jak se vojáci vyrovnávali s touto zkušeností. Důraz je kladen na individuální prožitky branců. Na základě analýzy rozhovorů s pamětníky jsou pak v práci reflektována témata každodenního života na vojně, jako například specifika vojenského prostředí, vztahy na vojně, šikana mezi vojáky. Práce se také snaží najít odpovědi na otázku, jak vojenská služba ovlivnila jejich životy, co služba na vojně jejím účastníkům dala, případně co jim z jejich pohledu vzala.
