Role hudby v koncentračních táborech se zaměřením na terezínské ghetto

Abstract

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of concentration camps and the role of music in them. Special attention is paid to the Terezín ghetto. The aim of the thesis is to map the role of music in Terezín through the main musical works that were produced in the ghetto. In addition, to determine the impact of musical activities in Terezín on the survivors and their post-war lives through interviews preserved in the USC Shoah Foundation's digital visual history archive. In particular, the thesis focuses on how selected survivors recall music in Terezín in hindsight and what role it played in their lives after the war. Or if some of them, for example, were influenced by the musical activities they were involved in in the Terezín ghetto to pursue music in their professional careers. The thesis combines the perspectives of the scholarly literature with the testimony of eyewitnesses who recall the events more than fifty years after the end of the war in order to achieve a deeper understanding of the topic under investigation. In the first part, he describes the musical activities in Terezín, especially the main musical works, and more on the opera Brundibár. Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu koncentračních táborů a úloze hudby v nich. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována terezínskému ghettu. Cílem práce je zmapovat role hudby v Terezíně skrze hlavní hudební díla, která v ghettu vznikala. Dále zjistit vliv hudebních aktivit v Terezíně na přeživší a jejich poválečný život pomocí rozhovorů uchovaných v digitálním archivu vizuální historie USC Shoah Foundation. Práce se soustředí zejména na to, jak vybraní přeživší na hudbu v Terezíně vzpomínají s odstupem času a jakou hrála roli v jejich životě po válce. Popřípadě, jestli se někteří z nich vlivem hudebních aktivit, do kterých se zapojili v terezínském ghettu, například věnovali hudbě i v profesní kariéře. Práce propojuje pohledy odborné literatury se svědectvím pamětníků, kteří na události vzpomínají více než padesát let po skončení války, za účelem dosažení hlubšího pochopení zkoumaného tématu. V první části pomocí odborné literatury popisuje hudební aktivity v Terezíně, zejména hlavní hudební díla a více se věnuje opeře Brundibár. V druhé části se práce soustředí na vybraná svědectví pamětníků a vymezuje hlavní tematické okruhy, podle témat, která přeživší nejvíce zmiňují.
