Konverzační čekání - vymezení a definice pojmu

Abstract

The phenomenon of waiting during the communicative acts has received minimal attention in the current linguistic and philosophical literature, and even established texts on communicative techniques and speech acts do not include this waiting in their definitional terms of what makes speech or conversational acts successful or what spoils their success. Through a comparative analysis of similar or related topics and terms in the philosophy of time and on the basis of theoretical knowledge about communication techniques and processes or speech acts, this paper aims to show that waiting is an important and often indispensable component of communication and should be reflected not only in the conditions of success of speech acts and theoretical knowledge about communication. Our intention will be to define such waiting as a separate term - conversational waiting - and to show that this phenomenon not only contributes to the overall dynamics of communicative exchanges, but also constitutes their semantic aspects, influences the success and failure of conversational acts and plays an important role in the perception of these acts by those who participate in a given conversation. Fenoménu čekání v rámci komunikačních aktů je v současné lingvistické i filosofické literatuře věnována minimální pozornost a ani již zavedené texty o komunikačních technikách a mluvních aktech nezahrnují čekání do svých definičních podmínek toho, co dělá mluvní nebo konverzační akty úspěšnými, případně co jejich úspěšnost maří. Tato práce si klade za cíl na základě komparativní analýzy podobných nebo příbuzných témat i termínů z oblasti filosofie času a na základě teoretických poznatků o komunikačních technikách a procesech nebo mluvních aktech ukázat, že čekání je důležitou a mnohdy nepostradatelnou složkou komunikace a mělo by být nejen v podmínkách úspěšnosti mluvních aktů a teoretických poznatcích o komunikaci reflektováno. Naším záměrem bude takové čekání vymezit jako samostatný termín - konverzační čekání - a ukázat, že se tento fenomén podílí nejen na celkové dynamice komunikačních výměn, ale také konstituuje jejich významové aspekty, ovlivňuje úspěšnost a neúspěšnost konverzačních aktů a hraje důležitou roli ve vnímání těchto aktů jedinci, kteří na dané konverzaci participují. Výstupem práce je definice konverzačního čekání, která zohledňuje jednotlivé parametry a charakteristické vlastnosti (jejichž vymezení je taktéž součástí textu) tohoto termínu.
