Moc kamer: Vliv mediálního vystavení na demokratickou legitimitu v politickém kontextu ČR

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on analysing the influence of video recordings of political events on democratic legitimacy in the cultural context of Czech politics. Using a custom online questionnaire, the thesis aimed to measure the relationship between the level of political knowledge and perceived democratic legitimacy in the presence of hypothetical camera footage with indecent behavioural elements (e.g. vulgarity) from the political sphere. The paper's theoretical framework combines the concepts of legitimacy, political knowledge and the influence of cameras on politics. Legitimacy in this thesis refers to democratic legitimacy in the country. This consisted of, for example, assessments of direct elections, the state of democracy, political alienation and equality of opportunity. Political knowledge was conceptualized as confidence in one's own political knowledge. Data collection was conducted through social media via a self-administered online questionnaire (N = 91). Data analysis included correlation analysis along with analysis of variance between groups. The analysis divided respondents into three groups according to their level of political knowledge: higher, medium and lower. Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na analýzu vlivu kamerových záznamů z politických událostí na demokratickou legitimitu v kulturním kontextu politiky České republiky. Cílem práce bylo za pomocí vlastního online dotazníkového šetření změřit vztah mezi mírou politických znalostí a vnímanou demokratickou legitimitou za přítomnosti hypotetických záznamů z kamer s neslušnými prvky chování (např. vulgární vystupování) z oblasti politiky. Teoretický rámec práce spojuje koncepty legitimity, politické znalosti a vliv kamer na politiku. Legitimita se v této práci vztahuje k demokratické legitimitě v ČR. Ta se skládala např. z hodnocení přímé volby, stavu demokracie, politického odcizení a rovnosti příležitostí. Politické znalosti byly pojaté jako důvěra ve vlastní politické znalosti. Sběr dat probíhal skrze sociální sítě prostřednictvím vlastního online dotazníku (N = 91). Součástí analýzy dat byla korelační analýza spolu s analýzou rozptylů mezi skupinami. Respondenti byli v rámci analýzy rozděleni do tří skupin dle jejich míry politických znalostí na vyšší, střední a nižší. Výsledky analýzy však nevyšly statisticky signifikantní. Výsledky proto naznačují, že mezi politickou znalostí a demokratickou legitimitou nemusí být žádný vztah a stejně tak nebyl nalezen významný rozdíl v demokratické legitimitě...
