Spirituální přínos děl Dorothea z Gazy a Kolumbána z Bobbia pro mnišství

Abstract

Podaná disertační práce Spirituální přínos děl Dorothea z Gazy a Kolumbána z Bobbia pro mnišství předkládá v pěti kapitolách výsledky bádání, k čemu jsme na základě studia a výzkumu dospěli. Disertace se zabývá literárními pozůstalostmi Dorothea z Gazy (†560/580) a Kolumbána z Bobbia (†615). Pomocí komparace a dalších metod jsme srovnávali teologický a spirituální přínos obou autorů, Dorothea z Gazy a Kolumbána z Bobbia. První patřil k palestinskému mnišství, druhý ke keltskému monasticismu. Dorotheos psal řecky, Kolumbán latinsky. Disertace prezentuje výsledky hloubkového výzkumu v dílech obou mnišských spisovatelů a v závěru ukazuje, že ač se dospělo k určitým rezultátům a komparace splnila svůj cíl, přesto - anebo právě proto - se stala východiskem k dalšímu studiu jejich děl. Spisy obou autorů zažívají v současnosti velkou renesanci zájmu ze strany badatelů, mnichů či křesťanských laiků, které jejich duchovnost inspiruje ke snaze žít ji ve svých osobních životech.

Submitted dissertation The Spiritual Contribution of the Works of Dorotheos of Gaza and Columbanus of Bobbio for Monasticism presents in five chapters the results of research, what we have arrived at on the basis of study and research. The dissertation deals with the literary legacies of Dorotheos of Gaza (†560/580) and Columbanus of Bobbio (†615). Using comparison and other methods, we compared the theological and spiritual contribution of both authors, Dorotheos of Gaza and Columbanus of Bobbio. The first belonged to Palestinian monasticism, the second to Celtic monasticism. Dorotheos wrote in Greek, Columbanus in Latin. The dissertation presents the results of in-depth research into the works of both monastic writers and in the end shows that although certain results were reached and the comparison fulfilled its goal, it nevertheless - or precisely because of this - became a starting point for further study of their works. The writings of both authors are currently experiencing a great renaissance of interest on the part of researchers, monks and Christian laymen who are inspired by their spirituality to try to live it in their personal lives.
