Genderově inkluzivní jazyk při tlumočení z angličtiny do češtiny

Abstract

Tato teoreticko-empirická práce se zabývá genderově inkluzivním jazykem v tlumočení ve směru z angličtiny do češtiny. Cílem práce je přispět k lepšímu porozumění a uplatňování genderově inkluzivního jazyka v tlumočení mezi angličtinou a češtinou a přinést podněty pro zdokonalení tlumočnických služeb v České republice. Teoretická část představuje základní pojmy, které s inkluzivním jazykem souvisí, popisuje společenský kontext jazykového vývoje a limity a prostředky genderově inkluzivního jazyka. Dále se zaměřuje konkrétně na genderově inkluzivní angličtinu a češtinu a genderově inkluzivní tlumočení. Těžištěm empirického výzkumu je pět polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, uskutečněných jednak s osobami, které mají zkušenost s tlumočením genderově inkluzivního jazyka, jednak s organizacemi, které se zabývají tématy genderu a nebinarity. Výsledkem celé práce je Příručka inkluzivního tlumočení mezi angličtinou a češtinou.

This thesis addresses gender inclusive language in interpreting from English into Czech. The aim is to contribute to a better understanding and application of gender inclusive language in interpreting between English and Czech and to provide insights for the improvement of interpreting services in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part introduces basic concepts related to inclusive language, describes the social context of language development, and the limitations and means of gender inclusive language. It specifically focuses on gender inclusive English and Czech and gender inclusive interpreting. The research is based on five interviews conducted with individuals experienced in interpreting gender inclusive language and organizations focusing on gender and non-binary issues. The result of the thesis is a handbook of gender inclusive language for interpreters working from English to Czech.
