Analýza a interpretace antimodernistického spisu rabína Samsona Rafaela Hirsche

Abstract

Tato práce se zaměřuje na antimodernistickou knihu rabína Samsona Rafaela Hirsche "Devatenáct epištol". V tomto díle rabín Hirsch reaguje na výzvy a hrozby židovské emancipace pro evropské židy v devatenáctém století. V první části se zaobírám dobou a historickým kontextem. Poté činím širší úvod. Posléze čtenáře seznamuji se stručným obsahem každého dopisu. V závěru hledám paralely se současným křesťanstvím s naznačeným dopadem na náboženskou praxi. Rabín Hirsch dokázal využít osvícenství k zachování židovské tradice. Uhájil prostor pro tradičně žitou víru v nové době. This paper is focused on the antimodern book of rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch called "The Nineteen Epistles". In this book, Rabbi Hirsch is dealing with the challenges and perils of Jewish emancipation for European Jews in the nineteenth century. In the first section, I inform the hypothetical reader of the historical background and context. The next section is a literal introduction. The third section contains a synopsis of all letters with shorter historical commentary. In conclusion, I search for parallels with today's Christianity with an accent on religious practices. Rabbi Hirsch was able to utilize enlightenment for the preservation of Jewish tradition. He managed to defend a space for the life of traditional Jewish faith in the new epoch.
