Smysl přináležení v době islamofobie

Abstract

Disertační práce Smysl přináležení v době islamofobie se zabývá otázkou konstrukce identity a pocitů přináležení u migrantů z Blízkého východu žijících v českém prostředí a deklarujících arabskou etnicitu. Osoby z mého výzkumného vzorku měly pro svůj odchod různé důvody, což se promítlo i do jejich migrační zkušenosti, která má jistý podíl na samotném utváření identity a pocitů přináležení nejen k zemi původní a cílové. Tyto procesy sleduji v kontextu současné společnosti, která je ve vztahu k migrantům z Blízkého východu ovlivněna islamofobií. Práce se zaměřuje na jevy, které se podílejí na vyjednávání a ustanovování pocitů přináležení členů vybrané minority a zkoumá, jak je smysl přináležení utvářen v průniku globální společnosti, individualismu, a kolektivními skupinovými identifikacemi. Text je členěn do tří stěžejních částí. První část vymezuje zásadní teoretické rámce a témata, která pokládám za klíčová pro interpretaci dat. Je zde tedy vymezen konstruktivistický přístup, následně identita, etnicita, při- náležení, transnacionalismus, integrace, marginalizace a islamofobie. Nechybí ani konkrétní výzkumy zaměřující se na islamofobii v českém i zahraničním prostoru. Pozornost je rovněž věnována současným Arabům. The dissertation "The Sense of Belonging in the Time of Islamophobia" deals with the issue of identity construction and feelings of belonging among migrants from the Middle East living in the Czech environment and declaring the Arab ethnicity. The persons from my research sample had various reasons for their departure, which was also reflected in their migration experience, which has a certain share in the formation of identity and feelings of belonging not only to the country of origin but also to their destination. I observe these processes in the context of the contemporary society, which is influenced by Islamophobia in relation to migrants from the Middle East. The thesis focuses on the phenomena involved in the negotiation and establishment of the feelings of belonging of the members of the selected minority and examines how the sense of belonging is shaped in the intersection of global society, individualism, and collective group identifications. The text is divided into three main parts. The first part defines the fundamental theoretical frameworks and themes that I consider to be crucial for the interpretation of the data.
