Complexité syntaxique du syntagme nominal en français et en tchèque

Abstract

Cílem této práce je kontrastivní korpusová analýza syntaktické komplexity jmenné fráze ve francouzštině a češtině. Teoretická část práce vymezuje syntaktickou komplexitu a následně definuje stylistické rozdíly mezi francouzštinou a češtinou. Rovněž se věnuje také nominální frázi. Empirická část je založena na analýze výskytu nominálních subjektů a jejich modifikátorů v paralelním korpusu InterCorp v13ud se zarovnáním francouzština - čeština a současným omezením na literaturu faktu (non-fiction), konkrétně populárně-naučné texty, ve francouzském originále a českém překladu a vice versa. Práce si klade za cíl skrze kontrastivní analýzu prokázat výskyt vyšší syntaktické komplexity ve francouzštině, nebo v češtině.

The aim of this thesis is a contrastive corpus analysis of the syntactic complexity of nominal phrases in French and Czech. The theoretical part of the thesis defines syntactic complexity and then defines stylistic differences between French and Czech. It also discusses nominal phrasing. The empirical part is based on an analysis of the occurrence of nominal subjects and their modifiers in the parallel corpus InterCorp v13ud with a French-Czech alignment and a simultaneous restriction to non-fiction, in particular popular science texts, in the French original and the Czech translation and vice versa. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate, through contrastive analysis, the occurrence of higher syntactic complexity in French or in Czech.
