Teorie posesivního individualismu v díle C. B. Macphersona

Abstract

Tato práce se zabývá problematikou teorie posesivního individualismu v myšlení C. B. Macphersona. Posesivní individualismus zkoumá předpoklady, které byly vtisknuty do teorií teoretiků 17. století, proto primárním cílem zkoumání této práce je zjistit, jestli se tyto předpoklady přesunuly do teorie liberální demokracie a pokud ano jak se s těmito předpoklady liberální demokracie vyrovnala. Popisu těchto posesivně individualistických předpokladů se věnuji v první části této práce. V první části kapitoly jsou popsány atributy posesivního individualismu. V druhé části je popsán vznik posesivního individualismu analýzou Hobbesovi teorie. Druhá kapitola se zabývá spojením demokracie a liberalismu v liberální demokracii. Nejdříve jsou popsány liberální a demokratické ideje skrze Macphersonovo chápání jejich podstaty. Dále je popsáno spojení těchto ideologií v liberální demokracii, přičemž pro toto popsání liberální demokracie jsou použity tři modely, které popisují vývoj liberální demokracie skrze její dvousetletou historii. V další části kapitoly jsou popsány charakteristiky problémů liberální demokracie podle Macphersona. Poslední část této kapitoly jsou zaměřena na aplikaci atributů posesivního individualismu na modely liberální demokracie a určení jestli jsou stále přítomné v daných modelech. V...

This work deals with the issue of the theory of possessive individualism in the thinking of C. B. Macpherson. Possessive individualism examines the assumptions that were imprinted in the theories of 17th century theorists, therefore the primary goal of this research is to find out if these assumptions have moved into the theory of liberal democracy and if so, how liberal democracy has coped with these assumptions. The first part of this work deals with the description of these possessive individualistic assumptions. The first part of the chapter describes the attributes of possessive individualism. The second part describes the emergence of possessive individualism by analyzing Hobbes's theory. The second chapter deals with the connection between democracy and liberalism in liberal democracy. First, liberal and democratic ideas are described through Macpherson's understanding of their essence. Next, the combination of these ideologies in liberal democracy is described, while three models are used for this description of liberal democracy, which describe the development of liberal democracy throughout its two-hundred-year history.
