Zvuková krajina: Pojem "Soundscape" v kontextu environmentální estetiky

Abstract

Předmětem diplomové práce je analýza role zvuku v rámci environmentální estetické zkušenosti. Cílem je prezentovat pojem zvukové krajiny, který zavedl Michael Southworth a později zpopularizoval R. Murray Schafer, a především určit jeho kritické zasazení, které spadá do stejné doby jako vyvíjející se environmentální estetika. Práce představí možnosti, které skýtá tento pojem pro zkoumání estetické zkušenosti prostředí a zároveň poskytne z hlediska estetického zkoumání prostředí jeho kritickou revizi. Práce charakterizuje nové perspektivy interdisciplinárního propojení zkoumání zvukových krajin a environmentální estetiky. Bude argumentovat pro revizi a rozšíření smyslových priorit tak, aby reflektovaly rovnocenné postavení sluchových a vizuálních zkušeností ve vnímání a hodnocení prostředí.

The subject of the thesis is the analysis of the role of sound within the environmental aesthetic experience. The aim is to present the notion of the soundscape, introduced by Michael Southworth and later popularized by R. Murray Schafer, and above all to identify its critical setting,which falls in the same period as the developing environmental aesthetics. This thesis will present the possibilities offered by this concept for exploring the aesthetic experience of the environment, while providing a critical revision of it from the perspective of environmental aesthetic research. The thesis will characterize new perspectives on the interdisciplinary connection between soundscape research and environmental aesthetics. It will argue for a revision and extension of sensory priorities to reflect the equal status of auditory and visual experiences in the perception and evaluation of the environment.
