Aux origines de la théorie de la nature pure

Abstract

This master's thesis, entitled "The origins of the theory of pure nature", seeks to understand how, in the 16th century, commentators on St Thomas Aquinas came to conceive of human nature as having a purely natural end rather than a supernatural one. This is known as the theory of pure nature. The aim of our work is to study, on the basis of the work of Father de Lubac, the ways in which they were led to develop such a theory. Our first part is devoted to Cajetan and his application to human nature of the principle of Aristotelian origin. Our second part concerns the heresy of Baius and the use of the potentia Dei absoluta. Our third part is devoted to the limbo theory and the question of natural beatitude.

Diplomová práce s názvem "Počátky teorie čiré přirozenosti" se snaží pochopit, jak v 16. století komentátoři svatého Tomáše Akvinského dospěli k pojetí lidské přirozenosti jakožto mající čistě přirozený cíl, nikoliv nadpřirozený. Tato teorie je známá jako teorie čiré přirozenosti. Cílem naší práce je prozkoumat, na základě díla otce de Lubaca, způsoby, které je vedly k vytvoření takové teorie. Naše první část je věnována Kajetánovi a jeho aplikaci principu aristotelského původu na lidskou přirozenost. Naše druhá část se týká Baïovy hereze a jeho odvolávání se na potentia Dei absoluta. Naše třetí část je věnována teorii limbu a otázce přirozené blaženosti. RÉSUMÉ Le mémoire de maîtrise intitulé « Aux origines de la théorie de la nature pure » cherche à comprendre comment, au 16ème siècle, des commentateurs de saint Thomas d'Aquin ont pu être amenés à concevoir la nature humaine comme ayant une fin purement naturelle et non plus surnaturelle. C'est ce qu'on appelle la théorie de la nature pure. Le but de notre travail est d'étudier, en nous appuyant sur l'œuvre du Père de Lubac, les voies par lesquelles ils ont été amenés à élaborer une telle théorie.
