Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of dignified dying and care at the end of life in residential services for the elderly in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou district. In these facilities, the view of the head social worker and head nurse on the issue of dignified dying and death, as a connection between the social and health perspectives, was investigated. The thesis deals with the issue of dying with dignity in connection with the possibility of providing palliative care in residential services for the elderly. In the first part, he analyzes theoretical aspects - such as the concept of dignity, palliative care, assisted suicide, euthanasia or, for example, the issue of dystasia Dying with dignity and death in nursing homes should be a set standard for providers of these services. Homes for the elderly in most cases become a home for clients, but also a place where they die. He should be guaranteed safety and a decent life here. The aim of the thesis was to find out how dignified dying and care at the end of life are ensured in facilities for the elderly in the Rychnov district. Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou důstojného umírání a péče v závěru života v pobytových službách pro seniory v okrese Rychnov nad Kněžnou. V těchto zařízeních byl zjišťován pohled vedoucí sociální pracovnice a vrchní sestry na problematiku důstojného umírání a smrti, jakožto propojení sociálního a zdravotního pohledu. Práce se věnuje otázce důstojného umírání v souvislosti s možností poskytování paliativní péče v pobytových službách pro seniory. V první částí rozebírá teoretické aspekty - jako je pojem důstojnosti, paliativní péče, asistovaná sebevražda, eutanázie anebo například problematika dystanázie Důstojné umírání a smrt v domovech pro seniory by měla být pro poskytovatele těchto služeb určitým nastaveným standardem. Domovy pro seniory se ve většině případů stávají pro klienty domovem, ale i místem, kde zemřou. Mělo by jím zde být zajištěno bezpečí a dožití za důstojných podmínek. Cílem diplomové práce bylo, zjistit jakým způsobem je v zařízeních pro seniory v rychnovském okrese zajištěno důstojné umírání a péče v závěru života.
