Predispozice k rakovině plic u pacientů s cystickou fibrózou.

Abstract

Cystická fibróza je dědičné onemocnění, které postihuje obzvláště dýchací a trávicí soustavu. Ačkoliv je onemocnění dosud nevyléčitelné, díky pokrokům v terapii došlo ke zlepšení kvality života pacientů s cystickou fibrózou a rovněž k prodloužení jejich života. S narůstajícím věkem pacientů však narůstá i riziko rozvoje rakoviny. Ukazuje se, že pacienti trpící cystickou fibrózou pravděpodobně mají zvýšené riziko rozvoje rakoviny zažívacího ústrojí. Obecně nejpostiženějším orgánem přitom bývají plíce, které jsou často kolonizovány bakteriemi. V této rešerši se budu zabývat nejprve popisem samotné rakoviny a cystické fibrózy, poruchami, které cystickou fibrózu provází, dále jak by mohl být rozvoj rakoviny spojen s cystickou fibrózou, a v poslední části se pokusím rozebrat spojitost mezi cystickou fibrózou a rakovinou plic.

Cystic fibrosis is a hereditary disease that particularly affects the respiratory and digestive systems. Although the disease is still incurable, advances in therapy have improved the quality of life of cystic fibrosis patients and also extended their life expectancy. However, as patients live longer, the risk of developing cancer also increases. It turns out that patients suffering from cystic fibrosis are likely to have an increased risk of developing digestive tract cancer. In general, the most affected organ are the lungs, which are often colonized by bacteria. In this research, I will first deal with the description of cancer and cystic fibrosis itself, the disorders that accompany cystic fibrosis, how the development of cancer could be connected with cystic fibrosis, and in the last part I will try to analyze the connection between cystic fibrosis and lung cancer.
