Senioři jako specifická skupina v procesu celoživotního vzdělávání

Abstract

Ve své práci jsem se zaměřila na zmapování a provedení analýzy problematiky vzdělávání seniorů. Práce je rozdělena do šesti dílčích částí a má charakter přehledové studie. První část se ve stručnosti zabývá historickým vývojem vzdělávání seniorů. Druhá část sleduje význam jejich vzdělávání, a to z hlediska celospolečenského (důraz je zde kladen na demografický vývoj) i z hlediska samotných jedinců. Důležitou částí této kapitoly je také motivace seniorů k dalšímu vzdělávání. Třetí a čtvrtá část se více zaměřují na samotný proces vzdělávání seniorů. Ve třetí kapitole definuju stáří jako vývojové stadium a dále specifika seniorů ve vzdělávacím procesu, včetně popisu změn kognitivních funkcí, ke kterým dochází a které mají nemalý vliv na proces učení. Čtvrtá kapitola je zaměřena na gerontodidaktiku. Pátá kapitola vymezuje pojem celoživotního vzdělávání, šestá pak shrnuje základní vzdělávací možnosti pro seniory v České republice.

My thesis focuses on discussing and analyzing the problems of seniors' education, mostly from the theoretical point of view. The whole theme is divided into six chapters. The first part briefly describes the historical development of education of seniors. The second chapter is concentrated on the importance of seniors' education, both from the view of society (the emphasis is placed on population growth) and from the view of seniors. An important part of this chapter is also a motivation for late life learning. The third and the fourth parts are more focused on the process of education. In the third chapter I depict old age as a developmental stage and also the specificities of the elderly in the learning process, including a description of changes in cognitive functions that occur and have a considerable impact on the learning process. The fourth chapter is focused on gerontological didactics. The fifth chapter defines the concept of lifelong learning. The sixth summarizes the basic educational opportunities for senior citizens in the Czech Republic.
