Měření zátěže formálních pečovatelů v domovech pro seniory

Abstract

This dissertation presents a description of the concept of the formal caregiver's burden (for the purposes of this thesis it is the profession of a professional caregiver in direct care in a nursing home) and their possible measurement through the chosen theoretical and methodological tools. One of the research aims is to explore the characteristics of the formal caregiver in nursing homes in the Czech Republic, which may entail potential burden, stress and other attributes affecting the quality of work life. The dissertation is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part, the basic terms such as formal caregiver and formal caregiver burden are first defined and characterised, which sets the chosen subject in a theoretical-conceptual framework. It is followed by a detailed description of the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), the Areas of Worklife Survey (AWLS) and the Professional Care Team Burden (PCTB) measuring instruments, which form the core element of the used methodology. Disertační práce přináší deskripci konceptu zátěže formálního pečovatele (pro účely této disertace se jedná o profesi pracovníka v sociálních službách v přímé obslužné péči v pobytové službě domov pro seniory) a jejich možné měření prostřednictvím zvolených teoreticko- metodologických nástrojů. Jedním z výzkumných cílů je prozkoumat charakteristiky cílové skupiny formálních pečovatelů v domovech pro seniory v České republice, které mohou poukázat na možnou zátěž, stres a další faktory ovlivňující kvalitu pracovního života. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části jsou nejdříve definovány a charakterizovány základní pojmy, jako je formální pečovatel a zátěž formálních pečovatelů, které zasazují zvolené téma do teoreticko-koncepčního rámce. Následuje podrobný popis použitých měřicích nástrojů Perceived Stress Scale, Areas of Worklife Survey a Professional Care Team Burden (dále jen PCTB), které tvoří stěžejní prvek použité metodologie. Empirická část popisuje kvantitativní výzkum, jenž proběhl na začátku roku 2022. Daného výzkumu se zúčastnilo 424 respondentů, přesněji pracovníků v sociálních službách v domovech pro seniory.
