Přístupnost vybraných webových stránek pro neslyšící uživatele

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of web accessibility with respect to Deaf users. The aim of the study is to map the situation of two websites of selected organizations, namely the Czech Union of the Deaf and the Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons in the Czech Republic. Furthermore, the thesis aims to provide insight into web accessibility, especially in relation to the implementation of equal access to information based on relevant legal documents and regulations, rules for creating accessible websites and translation into Czech sign language as one of the possible solutions for a deaf-friendly web. To achieve the objectives, the research section of the thesis was carried out based on a thorough review of literature, accessibility testing tool and the author's personal experiences and then through semi- structured interviews with Deaf respondents. This is one of the first qualitative researches in the field of web accessibility for Deaf individuals in the Czech Republic which focuses specifically on these organizations.

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou přístupnosti webových stránek vzhledem k neslyšícím uživatelům. Cílem práce je zmapovat situaci dvou webových stránek vybraných organizací, konkrétně České unie neslyšících a Svazu neslyšících a nedoslýchavých osob v ČR. Dále si práce klade za cíl poskytnout vhled do webové přístupnosti především v souvislosti s naplňováním rovnocenného přístupu k informacím ve vybraných právních dokumentech a předpisech, s pravidly pro tvorbu přístupných webových stránek a s překladem do českého znakového jazyka jakožto jedním z možných řešení přístupného webu pro neslyšící osoby. Pro naplnění cílů práce byla výzkumná část realizována na základě prostudované literatury, nástroje pro ověření přístupnosti a uživatelské zkušenosti autorky práce, a následně skrze polostrukturované rozhovory s neslyšícími respondenty. Jedná se o jeden z prvních kvalitativních výzkumů v oblasti webové přístupnosti pro neslyšící jedince v České republice, který se zaměřuje právě na tyto organizace.
