Role hudby v každodennosti. Studie uživatelů streamovací platformy Spotify

Abstract

This thesis presents music as an object through which the individual regulates their agency to perform activities in everyday life. Specifically, the thesis examines the relationship between listening to music through the streaming platform Spotify and the use of music in everyday situations. It seeks to better understand the ways in which users engage with the platform. The results of the bachelor's thesis are based on a review of relevant literature and analysis of interviews with Spotify users. The results show that the respondents perceive Spotify as a platform that allows them to integrate music more efficiently into their daily lives, even though they were not familiar with or did not use Spotify's features that directly offer users music appropriate to selected activities. Instead, when selecting music, respondents relied on their own practical knowledge of music, which they applied in a variety of ways to everyday situations through the other features that Spotify provides.

Tato práce představuje hudbu jako objekt, prostřednictvím kterého jedinec reguluje své aktérství v rámci vykonávání činností v každodenním životě. V práci je konkrétně zkoumán vztah mezi poslechem hudby prostřednictvím streamovací platformy Spotify a využíváním hudby v každodenních situacích. Snahou je lépe porozumět způsobům, jakými uživatelé k platformě přistupují a jak jí využívají. Výsledky bakalářské práce jsou založené na rešerši relevantní literatury a analýze rozhovorů s uživateli Spotify. Z výsledků vyplývá, že respondenti vnímají Spotify jako platformu, která jim umožňuje efektivněji zapojit hudbu do každodenního života, přestože neznají nebo nevyužívají funkce Spotify, které přímo nabízí uživatelům hudbu vhodnou k vybraným činnostem. Respondenti namísto toho při výběru hudby spoléhají na svoje vlastní praktické vědění o hudbě, které různorodými způsoby aplikují v každodenních situacích prostřednictvím dalších funkcí, které Spotify nabízí.
