Vzhled českých političek očima uživatelů sociálních sítí

Abstract

This diploma thesis explores the connection of three areas: political communication, social networks and gender. The thesis focuses on the perception of appearance of contemporary Czech female politicians in the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to analyse user comments on the social network Facebook concerning the physical appearance of female politicians. In the theoretical part of the thesis, concepts related to representation, the role of women in political representation, the gender difference in access to politics and the history of gaining the right to vote for women are presented. Furthermore, attention is paid to political communication, its definition, transformation over time and temporal distribution. Media portrayals of female politicians in traditional media and on social media are also presented. The results of the elections held on 8. - 9. October 2021 are also presented here. The analytical part is devoted to the actual implementation of the research and its methodological background. Sampling, data collection and the procedure for coding comments are described. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá propojením tří oblastí: politické komunikace, sociálních sítí a genderu. Práce je zaměřena na vnímání vzhledu současných českých političek v Poslanecké sněmovně Parlamentu České republiky. Cílem je analýza uživatelských komentářů na sociální síti Facebook týkajících se fyzické stránky političek. V teoretické části práce jsou prezentovány koncepty spojené s reprezentací, rolí žen v politické reprezentaci, genderovým rozdílem v přístupu k politice a historie zisku volebního práva pro ženy. Dále je pozornost věnována politické komunikaci, její definici, transformaci v průběhu času a jejímu časovému rozdělení. Představeno je i mediální vyobrazení političek v tradičních médiích a na sociálních sítích. Na tomto místě jsou rovněž uvedeny výsledky voleb do Poslanecké sněmovny Parlamentu České republiky, které proběhly 8. - 9. října 2021. Analytická část se věnuje samotné realizaci výzkumu a jeho metodologickým východiskům. Je popsán výběr vzorku, sběr dat a postup při kódování komentářů. Následně jsou představena výsledná zjištění výzkumu a odpovědi na výzkumné otázky, kterých bylo docíleno pomocí kvantitativní četnostní analýzy a kvalitativní analýzy rámců.
