Armáda a bezpečnost: Role Ústřední redakce armády, bezpečnosti a brannosti Československé televize v letech 1958 - 1990

Abstract

This diploma thesis deals with the history and functioning of Czechoslovak Television's Army, Security and Military Ability Department in the years 1958-1990. The author first introduces the reader to the historical context and maps the changes that Czechoslovak Television went through in connection with political situation, with an emphasis on the period of the Prague Spring, August 1968, and the subsequent onset of normalization. This part of the thesis also introduces readers to the position of the media in the political mechanism of Czechoslovakia and its interventions in the functioning of the media. The thesis also deals in detail with the Television's Army, Security and Military Ability Department itself, its main tasks, history and contractually secured connection to the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Ministry of Defence. In this part of the thesis, the method of department's financing and organizational structure are also described, including the tasks of employees and the editor-in-chief Miloslav Broumský. The author draws not only from available book sources, but mainly from internal primary sources obtained during archival research in the archives of Czech Television, the National Archive and the Military Historical Archive. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá historií a fungováním Ústřední redakce armády bezpečnosti a brannosti Československé televize v letech 1958-1990. Autorka nejprve uvádí čtenáře do historického kontextu a mapuje proměny, kterými Československá televize procházela v souvislosti se soudobými politickými změnami s důrazem na období pražského jara, srpna 1968 a následného nástupu normalizace. Tato část práce čtenářům přibližuje také postavení médií v politickém mechanismu Československa a jeho zásahům do fungování médií. Práce se dále detailně věnuje samotné Redakci armády, bezpečnosti a brannosti, jejím hlavním úkolům, historii a smluvně zabezpečenému napojení na Federální ministerstvo vnitra a Federální ministerstvo obrany. V této části práce je zároveň přiblížen způsob financování redakce a její organizační struktura, včetně úkolů jednotlivých pracovníků a šéfredaktora redakce Miloslava Broumského. Autorka čerpá nejen z dostupných knižních pramenů, ale převážně také z interních primárních pramenů získaných během archivního výzkumu v archivech České televize, Národního archivu a Vojenského historického archivu.
