Diskurzivní analýza českých médií k problematice společnosti dohledu

Abstract

This thesis deals with the concept of a surveillance society in the modern world and its representation in the Czech media. It aims to deduce the discourse of the domestic media on this issue and the narratives that form it. For this purpose, James Paul Gee's method of discursive analysis originating from the linguistic tradition is chosen. In addition to the texts, the visual representations that accompany them are examined through qualitative content analysis. The conclusions of the research are compared with the findings presented in the theoretical part of the thesis. The thesis focuses on the issue of surveillance and presents the key ideas and research that have shaped the emergence of the entire field of surveillance studies. These include texts by Jeremy Bentham, Karl Marx, Max Weber and Michel Foucault. Other contemporary theorists have then drawn on these, whose research is also the focus of the thesis, and present the dominant issues and current problems related to the main theme of the thesis. These include, for example, Gilles Deleuze's concept of the society of control, "new" surveillance by Gary T. Marx, dataveillance, i.e. the use of data for surveillance in Roger Clark's theses, Mark Poster's superpanopticon, the issues related to the use of CCTV camera systems addressed by Clive...

Tato diplomova prace se zabýva konceptem spolecnosti dohledu v moderním svete a jeho reprezentací v ceských mediích. Jejím cílem je vývodit diskurz tuzemských medií k teto problematice a narativý jej tvorící. Pro týto ucelý je zvolena metoda diskurzivní analýzý Jamese Paula Geeho výchazející z lingvisticke tradice. Krome textu jsou zkoumaný i vizualní reprezentace, ktere je doprovazejí, a to pomocí kvalitativní obsahove analýzý. Zaverý výzkumu jsou porovnaný s poznatký, ktere prinasí teoreticka cast diplomove prace. Ta se venuje problematice dohledu a predstavuje stezejní mýslenký a výzkumý, ktere formovalý vznik celeho oboru dohledova studia. Mezi ne patrí textý Jeremýho Benthama, Karla Marxe, Maxe Webera a Michela Foucaulta. Z nich pote výchazejí i dalsí soucasní teoretikove, jejichz výzkumum se prace take venuje a predstavuje na nich dominantní otazký a aktualní problemý, ktere se s hlavním tematem prace pojí. Mezi ne patrí napr. koncept spolecnosti kontrolý Gillese Deleuzeho, "nový" dohledu Garýho T. Marxe, dataveillance, tedý výuzívaní dat ke sledovaní v tezích Rogera Clarka, superpanoptikon Marka Postera, otazký spojene s pouzívaním CCTV kamerových sýstemu, na ktere se zamerili Clive Norris a Garý Armstrong nebo "tekutost" dohledu Davida Lýona a Zýgmunta Baumanna.
