Abstract

This bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts. The first section is practical, consisting of a translation of selected seventeen chapters from the book Guide mondain des villages de France written by the French author Matthias Debureaux. The work describes French villages whose history is linked to famous personalities in the world. The second part of the thesis consists of a translation commentary, which includes a translation analysis based on the work of the translatologist Christiane Nord, a description of the translation method, particular translation problems and their solutions. Tato bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou částí. První část je praktická, kterou tvoří překlad vybraných sedmnácti kapitol z knihy Guide mondain des villages de France od francouzského autora Matthiase Debureauxe. Dílo pojednává o francouzských vesnicích, jejichž historie je spjata se známými osobnostmi světa. Druhá část práce sestává z odborného komentáře, který obsahuje překladatelskou analýzu podle translatoložky Christiane Nordové, popis metody překladu, dílčích překladatelských problémů a jejich řešení.
