Abstract

The subject matter of this bachelor thesis is the translation of a German travel guide Glücksorte in Leipzig on the basis of a hypothetical translation order, and an annotation of translation strategies. Glücksorte is a book series which introduces the given location (Leipzig) to the reader in an unusual way. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a functional translation with its function equivalent to the original text. The annotation consists of a translation analysis of the original as per Ch. Nord and the description of translation method, translation problems and translation shifts which were made in the translation.

Předmětem práce je překlad německého průvodce Glücksorte in Leipzig podle hypotetické zakázky a odborný komentář tohoto překladu. Glücksorte je knižní řada, která čtenáři neobvyklým způsobem představuje danou lokalitu, tedy Lipsko. Cílem je vytvořit funkční překlad s funkcí ekvivalentní výchozímu textu. Součástí odborného komentáře je překladatelská analýza výchozího textu podle Ch. Nordové, popis překladatelské metody, překladatelských problémů a překladatelských posunů, ke kterým jsem se při překladu uchýlila.
