Vliv pesticidů na populace ptáků zemědělské krajiny

Abstract

Pesticides are problematic chemicals that are found in a variety of environments. These substances tend to accumulate in living organisms, where they decomposite very slowly and can have a negative impact on bird populations. This is why some chemicals are still detected in these environments today, even years after their use has been banned, and may continue to affect organisms. The aim of my bachelor thesis was to conduct a literature search on the impact of pesticides on farmland bird populations. The first part of the thesis focuses on pesticides, their history, their division into different systems and their effects. The second part of the thesis then discusses the overall effects of pesticide use on farmland bird populations, particularly on breeding success and abundance. In this part, several studies have been collected that confirm the negative effect of pesticides on bird abundance, but not all of these studies are representative of real situations in the landscape. Finally, the paper assesses the overall role of pesticides in the observed bird declines and also presents suggestions to address the current negative trends. Pesticidy jsou problematické chemické přípravky, které se vyskytují v různých prostředích. Tyto látky mají tendenci se hromadit v živých organismech, kde se rozkládají jen velmi pomalu a mohou mít negativní dopad na ptačí populace. Proto jsou některé chemické látky detekovány ve zmíněných prostředích dodnes, i několik let po jejich zákazu používání a mohou tak nadále ovlivňovat organismy. Cílem mé bakalářské práce bylo vypracovat literární rešerši na téma vliv pesticidů na populace ptáků zemědělské krajiny. První část práce je zaměřena na pesticidy, jejich historii, dělení na jednotlivé systémy a účinky. Druhá část práce pak pojednává o celkových dopadech používání pesticidů na populace ptáků zemědělské krajiny, zejména na hnízdní úspěšnost a početnost. V této části bylo shromážděno několik studií, které potvrzují negativní vliv pesticidů na početnost ptáků, avšak ne v každém případě jsou tyto studie reprezentativní pro reálné situace v krajině. Na závěr je v práci zhodnocena celková role pesticidů v pozorovaném úbytku ptáků a jsou také představeny návrhy k řešení současných negativních trendů. Práce poukazuje na nutnost rozšíření výzkumných studií, které by reflektovaly skutečné podmínky v zemědělské krajině a odhalily by tak skutečnou míru působení těchto chemických přípravků na ptačí populace.
