Motivace žáků ke studiu geografie na příkladu Geografického gymnázia

Abstract

This bachelor's thesis is devoted to the motivation of pupils to study geography. The goal of the thesis is to evaluate the motivation of students in geography at secondary school and to find out which factors have the greatest influence on their motivation. These variables are evaluated on the example of the Geographical Grammar School in the form of Focus group interviews with the pupils of the school. The bachelor's thesis is supplemented by information from the school management, obtained using a semi-standardized interview. The result of the analysis is that motivation is necessary in the teaching process in geography and it is important that there should be used elements of support for both external and internal motivation in the lessons.

Bakalářská práce se věnuje motivaci žáků ke studiu geografie. Cílem práce je zhodnotit motivaci žáků ke geografii na střední škole a zjistit, jaké faktory mají na jejich motivaci největší vliv. Tyto proměnné jsou zhodnoceny na příkladu Geografického gymnázia formou Focus group rozhovorů s žáky gymnázia. Informace jsou doplněny o informace od vedení školy, získané pomocí polostandardizovaného rozhovoru. Výsledkem analýzy je, že motivace je ve vyučovacím procesu geografie nezbytná a je za potřebí, aby byly v hodinách přítomné prvky podpory vnější a vnitřní motivace.
