Digitální atlas bitvy u Zborova

Abstract

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a web map application of the Battle of Zborov based on the book Battle of Zborov: a military-historical study on the battles of the Czechoslovak Brigade in Galicia in 1917 (Klecanda 1927). In the theoretical part, basic concepts related to battle maps are first introduced. Subsequently, the situation before the battle, the course of the battle and its consequences are characterized. The subsequent part describes the methods of creating cartographic analyzes as well as the methods of creating an atlas. In the practical part, based on the information obtained in the theoretical part, an analysis of the map appendices of the book (Klecanda 1927) is carried out, and at the same time a web map application of the battle is created using ESRI products. Among other things, it aims to present the course of the battle of Zborov to the reader in a clear and interactive way. Cílem bakalářské práce je vytvoření webové mapové aplikace bitvy u Zborova na základě knihy Bitva u Zborova: vojensko-historická studie o bojích Československé brigády v Haliči roku 1917 (Klecanda 1927). V teoretické části jsou nejdříve představeny základní pojmy, které souvisí s bitevními mapami. Následně je charakterizována situace před bitvou, průběh bitvy a její důsledky. V navazující části jsou popsány metody tvorby kartografických analýz a také metody tvorby atlasu. V praktické části je na základě informací, získaných v teoretické části, provedena analýza mapových příloh knihy (Klecanda 1927) a zároveň je vytvořena webová mapová aplikace bitvy s využitím produktů ESRI. Ta má mimo jiné za cíl čtenáři přehledně a interaktivně představit průběh bitvy u Zborova. Klíčová slova: webová mapová aplikace, bitva u Zborova, tematická kartografie, digitální atlas
